Asus ROG Phone 6 flexes its Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 muscles in a Geekbench test

From what we’ve seen so far, the major upgrade on the Asus ROG Phone 6 will be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, which will take over from the 888 of last time’s model. The new mobile phone had a go at Geekbench and left behind a score card.

We’ve formerly tested the 8 Gen 1, but that was an engineering unit we entered from Asus rather than a retail-ready device. This is the real thing and it scored slightly advanced than the results we got.
This specific ROG Phone 6 unit had 16 GB of RAM. The TENAA instrument put the capacity at over to 18 GB, which will be the top-shelf option. There should be an interpretation with 12 GB of RAM too( maybe indeed one with 8 GB).

Anyway, the new Adreno 730 GPU runs at 10 advanced timepiece pets compared to the original Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, which will help it achieve advanced frame rates. How much advanced? That we don’t know yet as Geekbench only tests the CPU. But Asus did confirm that the new model will have a 165Hz display( rather of 144Hz like on the former two generations).
Other than that, the new model is anticipated have the same size screen,6.78 ”, and battery –,000 mAh with 65W fast charging.
Asus will disclose the ROG Phone 6 on July 5 with occasions in Taipei, Berlin and New York.
