Wireless charging pets are n’t what they used to be. Back in 2009, the Palm Pre gave us our first expirience with wireless charging via a personal Touch Stone bowl and a special reverse cover. Soon after the Qi wireless assiduity standard surfaced, though charging pets outgunned out at just 5W and latterly expanded to 10W and ultimately 15W.
There are briskly druthers like Oppo’s AirVOOC 50W Wireless Flash Charger which we’ve then moment for a test. As the name implies this wireless bowl supports up to 50W pets for select Oppo and OnePlus bias. We ’ve formerly tested vivo’s 50W Wireless Flash Charger a while back which managed to fill up the OnePlus from 0- 100 in 58 twinkles and we’re now trying out Oppo’s 50W wireless bowl alongside the Oppo Find X5 Pro which is one of the many supported bias that can charge wirelessly at 50W pets.
Oppo claims a 0- 50 charge will take just 22 twinkles and a full charge should complete in 47 twinkles- 7 further than it did with the 80W SuperVOOC wired charging appendage that comes whisked with the phone.We put those cases under a magnifying glass and these are our discoveries.
Before you get to wirelessly charge at 50W pets, you ’ll need a 65W PD bowl( or advanced) plugged into the AirVOOC 50W Wireless Flash bowl to achieve the announced pets. Luckily our Oppo Find X5 Pro comes whisked with an 80W SuperVOOC power appendage( 20V/ 4A) and the needed USB- A to USB- C string. For reference, the Find X5 Pro managed a 0- 40 charge in 12 twinkles and a complete 0- 100 in exactly 40 twinkles with its in- box 80W bowl.
The 50W AirVOOC wireless bowl can also stoutly acclimate charging affair grounded on the device that it’s charging so you can also charge an iPhone 13 at7.5 W pets or any of the Galaxy S22 series phones at 15W pets.

Oppo Find X5 Pro has a unique subsection in the battery menu settings where you can flip the calm charging mode. The bowl comes with a set of rubber bases that raise it 3 mm above the face to allow for better tailwind.
AirVOOC 50W weighs 180 grams. Oppo’s 80W SuperVOOC charging slipup comes in at 120 grams while the string is another 30 grams making the grand aggregate for our AirVOOC 50W bowl setup 330 grams.
And now the results.
In our test with the Oppo Find X5 Pro we measured 53 twinkles for a 1- 100 charge with the AirVOOC 50W Wireless Flash Charger. That’s 6 twinkles further than Oppo claimed 47 twinkles though we should factor in room temperature as the main variable. Find X5 Pro reached a 13 charge after just 5 twinkles on the bowl and was sitting at 50 after 23 twinkles, which is just a nanosecond down from what Oppo claimed.
Oppo’s 80W wired SuperVOOC bowl took 40 twinkles for a full 1- 100 charge so 53 twinkles from the AirVOOC bowl is still emotional considering the redundant heat generated by wireless charging. A quick comparison with vivo X80 Pro and its 50W Wireless Flash Charger shows that Oppo X5 Pro finished a full charge 5 twinkles hastily while boasting a larger,000 mAh battery compared to X80 Pro’s,700 mAh cell.
face temperatures on both the bowl and our Oppo Find X5 Pro test unit remained cool and didn’t go above the 33 °C threshold at any point during our tests. As soon as we charged up the phone we incontinently tested how hot it got and it was at just under 32 °C.
We also had the chance to test out SuperVOOC 80W auto bowl which promises the same charging pets as the SuperVOOC 80W power appendage that comes whisked with the Oppo Find X5 Pro. That’s potent emotional given the size difference between the two dishes.
The 80W auto bowl is USB PD3.0 compatible and has a traditional design with USB- C and USB- A anchorages and an LED charging index. Oppo is again using a six- subcaste protection system like on the AirVOOC wireless bowl. It’s important to note that you ’ll need to use an original Oppo USB- A to USB- C string( the bone that comes whisked with the Find X5 Pro) to reach the claimed 80W( 11V@7.3 A) maximum pets.
Charging via the USB- C harborage will get you up to 30W pets( 11V@ 3A) on any USB PD-compatible device. You can also charge two independent bias via both anchorages contemporaneously though maximum speed will be limited to 33W via the USB- A harborage and 30W on the USB- C connector. With all that word out the way let’s see what Oppo’s auto bowl managed with our Find X5 Pro.
The first 5 twinkles on the auto bowl outgunned up the Find X5 Pro up to 25 and the phone reached a 43 charge after 10 twinkles. The battery reached a 70 charge after 20 twinkles and was sitting at 92 after 30 twinkles. It also took 10 further twinkles to reach the full 100.
The full 1- 100 charge took 40 twinkles which is exactly the same result we got with the SuperVOOC 80W whisked bowl on the Find X5 Pro. The auto bowl has the advantage of being just 40 grams light and this is by far the fastest auto bowl we ’ve tested to date. We didn’t notice any inordinate heat coming from the bowl during our test which is another added perk.
For the sake of comparison, we have added the three dishes used in this trial in the following map to help recap our findings. We can see both the 80W SuperVOOC wall bowl( red) and the 80W SuperVOOC auto( unheroic) bowl are neck and neck in terms of speed though the lower auto bowl holds the advantage for utmost of the test. On the other end, we can see the 50W AirVOOC Wireless Flash Charger( blue) is a laddie slower though it’s still emotional to see it hanging in with the other two wired results.
Oppo’s AirVOOC 50W wireless bowl and 80W SuperVOOC auto bowl are two of the fastest dishes in their orders and bring blazing-fast top- up times. AirVOOC 50W handles a 1- 100 bowl in just 53 twinkles while the bitsy 80W SuperVOOC auto bowl manages the same in exactly 40 twinkles- on par with the larger 80W SuperVOOC charging slipup that comes whisked with the Find X5 Pro.
At€ 78 for the AirVOOC 50W wireless bowl and€ 40 for the 80W SuperVOOC auto bowl, Oppo is clearly charging a decoration for the added mileage of charging at blazing-fast pets. utmost druggies will presumably be better off with a regular Qi wireless bowl and a introductory auto bowl for diurnal requirements.
