Redmi India’s Twitter account has lately been veritably busy talking up the forthcoming Redmi Note 12 Pro and Redmi Note 12 Pro. Both of them, it was verified history, will be launching in India on January 5. But there is also an entry- position model, which was blazoned alongside those two in China back in October.

We are talking of course about the Redmi Note 12, and over until now it was unclear whether it would make the trip from China to India alongside its siblings. The good news is that it will. And while it may not get a lot of airtime on Twitter, Redmi has created an entire teaser microsite for its launch in India, which you can pierce then.
It focuses on a many crucial traits of the forthcoming device, chief among which is the 5G support. The AMOLED screen gets a shoutout too, including a hint that it’ll be brighter than what we have seen in once Redmi Notenon-Pros. A Snapdragon chipset is also teased, along with support for 33W wired charging and a triadic hinder camera setup headlined by a 48 MP detector. Last but surely not least, did you know that this will be the slimmest Redmi Note ever?

Spoiler alert, still the Redmi Note 12 is formerly sanctioned in China. So while Redmi India pretends it’ll advertise an entirely new device, it looks like it’s going to be the exact same model this time around. And if so, we can spoil the rest of the specs for you right then. Ready?

It runs Android 12 with MIUI 13 on top.
