History, the Galaxy Z Flip4 and Z Fold4 entered their first One UI 5 beta while the Z Flip3 got beta# 2( with the Z Fold3 anticipated to follow soon). Samsung is still going down the list and now it’s Galaxy Z Fold2’s time to try out Android 13 and the rearmost One software.
This will be the last hurrah for the 2020 galère, which came out with Android 10. It’s eligible for 3 zilches updates and this will be its third and final one( the coming- word foldables got promoted to 4 zilches updates). That’s as numerous updates as the Pixel phones are getting, plus the Z Fold2 will continue entering security patches – Samsung has committed to supporting it for 4 times, i.e. until late 2024.
Back to the beta – it’s presently rolling out to units in South Korea, but should reach other requests soon enough. Note in Korea both sans sim and telephones from transporters are qualified for the update.
still, you can use the Samsung Members app to subscribe up for the beta program, If you want to try it out( and accept that it presumably has bugs). One last piece of caution – introducing the beta is sufficiently simple, moving back to stable Android 12 requires a full wipe so back up your information before you start.
PS.However, the original model was lately streamlined to One UI 4, if you ’re wondering what’s passing with the Z Flip side of the 2020 foldables.1.1, but there’s no citation of interpretation 5 yet. still, the Z Flip and Z Flip 5G have the same software support windows( 3 zilches updates, 4 times of patches), so it should be only a matter of time before the Flips join the beta program as well.
